Paul & Marisol established and ran the famous Fat Cat Adventure Catamaran for six years in Playa, having previously worked in the cruise line and security industries.
They felt that it was time for something fresh and new on the tour scene, and put together the F1 Offshore Explorer project, using brand new custom designed Canadian Coastguard boats and some amazing hidden locations they had discovered when cruising the coast onboard Fat Cat.

Twin 250hp Suzuki 4/V6 fuel injected engines with counter rotating stainless steel props. Carries 15 passengers & crew at speeds up to 98kph.
Playa del Carmen Tours Direct - About our boats...they are custom designed and built at a small facility in Vancouver, Canada.
They are rigid inflatable boats, with alloy hulls, and are of a type used worldwide by Coastguards and Special Operations Forces. They are strong, very fast, and the ultimate in safety.

Designed to engage in offshore exploration, they can operate in any conditions. Fitted with powerful GPS navigation screens and onboard nav/fuel/engine computers, they are also highly advanced.
With 165 gallon fuel tanks, 500 horse power on tap, and unmatched speed and handling, they are designed for all day offshore fun. Additionally, they have some surprising facilities, including comfortable seating, onboard toilet, Hi Fi, shower, and drinks coolers.
The engines are 4 stroke, & have California 2008 emissions ratings certification, meaning they are the most eco friendly available, and cause the most minimal effect on the environment.
